ICON Vehicle Dynamics is proud to offer a Tubular Upper Control Arm System for the 2009 - 2020 model year Ram 1500 2wd & Ram 1500 4WD Trucks. The factory Ram 1500 upper ball joint design presents problems by limiting the potential suspension travel. This is especially true when running spacer style leveling kits and extended travel performance coil-over shocks on the 4x4 Ram 1500 trucks. It is also problematic on 2wd Ram 1500 trucks running coil spring spacers or taller lift coils. ICON eliminates the weak factory control arm design and replaces it with their Patent pending DELTA JOINT equipped tubular control arms. The ICON DELTA JOINT increases the upper control arms ability to operate at increased angles. Even more important, the ICON design dramatically increases the pull-through strength which virtually eliminates the possibility of the ball-joint from pulling through the control arm. These control arms allow for an increase in possible wheel travel without worrying about the factory ball joint binding or breaking. The ICON upper arm has the ability to safely operate at steeper angles which makes the ICON 218550DJ Upper Control Arm System especially useful on lifted trucks that are taken off-road.
